Amazon has released its newest creation, the Amazon Fire TV Streaming Player. This new player will stream television and movie from the Internet directly into customers’ home via their WI-FI connection.

The Amazon Fire box is tiny, only a few inches across, but has a dedicated Adreno 320 graphics processor and 2 GB of memory. The Fire can stream movies and TV in up to 1080p with Dolby Digital Plus up to 7.1.

The box provides either HDMI or digital output, ensuring great picture quality for any broadcasted visuals.

The Amazon Fire is unique in that it learns what you like and watch and queues it up. The technology is called Advanced Streaming and Prediction (ASAP) and holds the beginnings of movies and TV shows it has learned that you like in its memory. The more you use the box, the more it learns about your habits.

Amazon also gave the Fire the ability to use voice commands to control the television, letting users have a button free experience. The controller is simple, with a circular navigator and standard play, fast-forward and rewind buttons.

For the gamers in the home, the Fire also has a game controller that allows them to download or play games online. The games are available for rent or purchase directly through Amazon, just like you would iPhone or Android apps.

The game controller is based on the classic bat-shaped controller. It is responsive and sleek, allowing users to fully enjoy every nuance of games from old school Atari style to the latest first person shooter.

The Amazon Fire Streaming TV Player is everything that the competition and more. Naturally, it streams Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, ESPN and more. It also streams millions of songs and music videos through Vevo, Pandora and iHeart Radio. There are dozens of news sources, from Huffington Post Live to NBC News that can be streamed directly.

Amazon also offers its own streaming video service, Amazon Prime. The Fire TV player comes with a free 30 day trial of Amazon Prime.

Prime includes hundreds of movies, many of them only a couple of months out of theatres. There are old and new TV shows, including HBO series and documentaries. If you choose the Prime Membership ($99 per year) you also get free shipping from Amazon.com and other shopping benefits.

And if you can pull yourself away from your Fire TV box long enough, the Prime Member ship includes free Kindle books.

In essence, the Amazon Fire Streaming TV Player is a late coming to a game that is crowded with every imaginable device, including gaming systems. The Fire, though, turns the equation around, being a TV system that plays games instead of a gaming system that plays TV.

It is small, but much more powerful that the competition and the price if right in line with the top of the line items on the market.

Digital Inceptions can add a Fire TV to accompany any home theater or TV installation, with basic training and setup included.
